Floodsax and Sandbags
The Parish Council currently has a number of “Floodsax” devices from Leicestershire County Council. These are an alternative to traditional sandbags that until activated can be stored more easily as they are smaller and lightweight. They are also not prone to disintegrating like a traditional sandbag.
If you have a property that is prone to surface water flooding and are interested in taking a pack (one pack covers one front door), please contact one of the Councillors (link to contact page) or the Clerk (link to contact page) and we will explain how they work.
In addition, if you would like to have traditional sandbags delivered to your house, then please contact us. The District Council run a delivery service in times of likely flooding, that the village can be added on to.
